Course description

The Department of History seeks to provide students with an understanding of the broad foundations of historical studies through a critico-theoretical approach and prepares them for teaching, research, and graduate studies.


The Department offers major and minor programs in History. A student intending to major in History is required to pass any one of the following courses, namely, Philippine History (PHILHIS), Rizal Course (JPRIZAL), or History of Civilization (HISTCIV).

TOEFL: 500   or IELTS:5.5
