Course description

Master of Educational Management

The Master of Educational Management is a programme suited for educators in government or private, universities and colleges. The programme is designed to impart professional management knowledge and technique as well as be a forum for sharing experiences through discussion and debate.

The programme looks at the challenges and demands faced by learning institutions as well as the challenges and demands placed on students & personnel, from enrolment through graduation, recruitment to retirement.

The Master of Educational Management programme by coursework totals thirty-six (36) credit hours and involves twelve (12) core courses including one management project (3 credit hours each).

Master of Education (MEd)

The Masters of Education programme is designed to develop educators with the necessary job skills to make education informative, interesting and inspirational. The programme teaches advanced skills to improve student’s learning abilities as well as instil the desire to continue learning.

As the scope of education is wide and requires special attention, the Masters of Education offers several areas of specialization (check website for details of all the major options)

Master of Early Childhood Education

It is never too early to start an education, and more so with young children. With the development of so much intellectual potential early on in life, crafting good learning programmes and educational toys will shape the way these young children think, interact and create in the future.

The Master of Early Childhood Education is a programme by coursework in which credit hours allocated for research is less than 30 percent (<30%) of the total credit hours.

Master of Mathematics Education with Information Communication and Technology (MMathEd with ICT)
The aptitude for numbers comes from the mind’s love of logic. Mathematics, being a creation of logic, must therefore be appealing to the mind. The challenge however is that no mind, no matter how similar in thinking, is ever completely the same.

Together with the advent of ICT (Information Communication and Technology) the Master of Mathematics Education faces the challenge to open, illuminate and educate the minds of the future. Mathematics can bridge cultural, racial and language divides, and with ICT, that bridge can span the globe.

The Master of Mathematics Education with Information Communication and Technology is a programme by coursework in which credit hours allocated for the research component comprises less than thirty percent (<30%) of the overall total credit hours.

Master of Science Education with Information Communication and Technology

The Master of Science in Education with Information Communication and Technology programme aims to give dedicated educators the skill to help people of all ages in improving their science knowledge and education. With Malaysia quickly becoming a regional hub for scientific exploration and research, skilled educators imparting solid scientific education will become the cornerstone of the knowledge-based economies of the future.

The Master of Science Education with Information Communication and Technology is a programme by coursework in which credit hours allocated for the research component comprises less than thirty percent (<30%) of the overall total credit hours.
