To expedite AITs official response to support the people of Myanmar in this time of great need in the aftermath of tropical cyclone Nargis, AIT will mobilize additional resources to contribute to the sustainable relief of Myanman people. For long term rehabilitation of the cyclone-impacted areas, AIT would like to serve our host country Thailand in its plan to assist the sustainable reconstruction of Myanmar, especially in the area of infrastructure re-development. In this regards and in views of AIT’s mission, AIT proposes to the Royal Thai Government to form a strategic partnership in assisting the human resources development of Myanmar in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
